7th Smögen Summer Symposium on Virology
2010-11-23 20:39:48It is a pleasure for the Organizing Committee to announce that the 7th symposium will be held at Smögens Havsbad, Smögen, Thursday August 18 to Saturday August 20, 2011. The scientific as well as the social agenda will follow the traditions of previous Smögen Symposia. A first circular will be sent out via Email in february 2011. If you suspect/know that you are not on this list, please inform Sigge via: sigvard.olofsson@microbio.gu.se that you wish to be added to the list.

5th Smögen Summer Symposium on Virology
2009-08-20 13:11:24It is a pleasure for the Organizing Committee to announce that the third symposium will be held at Smögens Havsbad, Smögen, Thursday August 20 to Saturday August 22, 2009. This is the same venue as last year. The scientific as well as the social agenda will follow the traditions of previous Smögen Symposia. One exception is that two separate social events will run in parallel during the evening of Friday August 21. Most of the delegates will be offered the traditional M/Y Byfjorden Seafood Cruise but some of the delegates will be offered an excursion on the famous Hållö Island. Compared with the surrounding islands the topology of Hållö is well suited for hiking but some hiking experience may be needed, especially when twilight sets in. Owing to the nature of Hållö as a remote island with restricted harbour capacity is it possible to offer the Hållö option only to a few of the delegates this year. We are however convinced that the Seafood Cruise will turn out to be a perfectly satisfactorily alternative. Please note that the departure time for the Hållö Excursion will be somewhat earlier than for the Seafood Cruise.
